Christopher Robin Coan is still missing after one week when he failed to return home after his shift at Subway on Sept. 3.

Enoch Police Chief Dave Browning said one of the last people to see Christopher Coan was his manager at Subway.

"The manager watched him leave," Browning said. "There was no one around because the Subway is in a shopping area where the rest of the stores aren't built yet."

Browning said there are parties searching the Iron County area.

"We have had four or five planes looking there," he said. "The Iron County Search and Rescue, which is a volunteer organization, has really put in a major effort."

There have also been ATV search parties led by Christopher Coan's father, Dave, and Christopher Coan's grandfather.

"We have eliminated a lot of areas," Dave Coan said.

He said he is impressed with the efforts Browning is putting into this investigation.

"That man has gone 100 times over his duties," he said. "If it wasn't for him, we wouldn't have any direction at all."

Dave Coan said he feels sympathetic towards the officers searching.

"My heart goes out to them," he said.

Along with searching for Christopher Coan, the search parties are also looking for his car, a 1994 red and silver Chevy Blazer.

"He has only had his license for two weeks which doesn't necessarily make him a skilled driver," Browning said.

Currently, the police are piecing together a profile on Christopher Coan, Browning said.

"Christopher appears to be a responsible individual, quiet and somewhat reserved," he said.

Christopher Coan has also been described of not always acting his age, Browning said.

"He is characterized by friends and family being a little less mature for his age," Browning said.

Browning said Christopher Coan's mother mentioned he might have suffered a head trauma, which causes him to lose focus at times.

"This may be a factor, and it may not be," Browning said.

I am wondering why this isn't getting as much publicity as the BYU student up in Provo. Is he not Mormon enough, normal enough, pretty enough to get that kind of attention. (Continued…)

I can't imagine there would be an issue of him not being pretty enough - WTF...

Best wishes to all searching for him, sending thoughts & prayers.

I am Chris's Mom . . . and I wanted to thank everyone for their continued support and prayers . . .

Chris or his blazer have never been found, and other than a few tips early in his disappearance we have nothing to go on. (Continued…)
